Biography
Dr Lau is currently Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Science, Curtin University Malaysia campus. Professor Lau is a long serving member of Curtin University Malaysia campus community where he has accumulated over 14 years of teaching experience at Curtin University in the field of Civil Engineering. Prior to joining Curtin University Malaysia Campus, he worked in the consulting industry Professor Lau received the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Civil Engineering and PhD degrees from Oxford Brookes University, UK. He is a Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and also Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia. Professor Lau is also Vice Chairman 1 of The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), Miri Branch and one of the founding members and the Honorary Secretary of the Malaysia Cold-formed Steel Institute (MyCSI).
